About Kanhym
Kanhym's history in the farming sector spans seven decades, dating back to 1936.
Operating on 9549 hectares South of Middelburg, Mpumalanga Kanhym grows substantial crops of maize and soya beans for its animal feeds business.
It is also here that Kanhym farms its own livestock herds of cattle, sheep and pigs. The animals are kept in optimum conditions, ultimately producing meats that are superior quality and free of antibiotics and other harmful substances.
Kanhym took the decision to bring its products direct to the consumer in 2007 through the introduction of its own retail outlets; Kanhym Fresh Meat Deli's and Kanhym Biltong Deli's.
In October 2009 Kanhym acquired the Biltong Den franchise chain of 17 outlets. All biltong and droe wors products are produced and supplied by Kanhym.
